Letter to House1 (03/12/2022)
Ayinne!
I bring us warm greetings as we approach the end of the year along with our prayers that we shall end the year well, in Jesus’ name!
As we reflect on our journey thus far, it is important to recognize that we have come a long way from the shattered & broken house our leadership inherited back in February 2022.
This meant a total rebranding by opening up the democratic space for members through various platforms to encourage their contributions/input. It also re-established the supremacy of the House at all times, rather than decisions based on the feelings/moods of any opinion leaders and self-appointed ‘chairmen of many meetings’. It also meant a clear focus on transparency where planned activities are published ahead of time since this leadership is convinced that the well-being of the House as a whole is greater than anyone or group of individual(s).
We are under no illusion that every member shares these principles with this leadership. There are some actors who perhaps see this association purely as a business operation where they should profit personally from contracts or position themselves to dole out patronages. There are some actors who are determined to remain onstage long after their roles have ended and prevent elected officers from effectively performing their roles. In a rules-based society, this situation is simply unacceptable.
As we approach the IDUUK Dinner & awards nights which will hold on 17th December 2002, I have to report to the house that these actors have continued to hold on to our funds illegally and prevent the organizing committee set up by the house from fully performing their functions. A time has come to put a stop to this illegality as it poses an existential threat to the association where unelected people continue to hold on to House money under any guise
Accordingly, there will be a Zoom extraordinary general meeting (EGM) on 10th December 2022 to consider the following recommendations:-
1. Allow these actors to permanently hold on to those accounts so that IDDUK can set up new financial structures
2. These actors simply hand over the financial documents belonging to the house unconditionally
3. Invite appropriate external authorities to wade into the matter and settle it according to law.
For the avoidance of doubt, the organizing committee will source money needed for the Dinner and claim back from the IDUUK fund.
Long live Ai-Idoma

Letter to house 2 (22/01/2023)
Ayinne!
Once again, I wish us all a happy & prosperous New Year 2023.
Following a previous letter to the house last year. I am sadly writing to report that certain actors in our community have persisted in their determination not to comply with our constitution nor obey direct House resolutions. The unchecked actions of these actors have now brought this house to a dangerous crossroads. Read Less
We must therefore now arise as united Ai-Idoma, just as in the last year, to confront these renewed threats to our union.
Recall that the House had adopted a motion in which all previous signatories to IDDUK account unconditionally return financial instruments in their possession at the House meeting of 14th January 2023. Clearly, this is something that should have happened immediately after the previous house was dissolved a year ago. These actors have indicated that they are not inclined to comply, and rather would advance their own agenda willy-nilly. All attempts at the scrutiny of House finances have failed in a crude attempt to hold the House to ransom.
These actors are the ones who form splinter groups in the community (e.g. ‘bring & share’ brigade) with the clear aim of joining these groups after wrecking damage to this union (IDUUK). This Bring & Share brigade worked extremely hard to stop the will of the House from having their end-of-year dinner party, but predictably came & enjoyed the party far above other members, without making contributions. These actors raise no issues with Dr. Ene while consuming the drinks & food contributed by the IDUUK patron (Dr. Acha Okoko) but are able to recognize the connection between the two when asked to surrender House documents to IDUUK Patron.
It is clear that we must put a stop to this charade and redefine the contractual basis of our relations in this House. Any house built on a poor foundation will collapse sooner than later. Therefore, all transition activities are now suspended as we focus on recovering our financial instruments in the hands of unelected actors. It is not right that we enter into this cycle with the next leadership where certain unelected actors feel they can pick & choose their own rules while freely being abusive and demonstrating a lack of decorum. It may be the case that people are so far apart in values and principles that they desire to move into bring & share brigade. That can be accommodated after the surrender of all IDUUK financial instruments.
In doing so, we will follow due process to engage in increasing measures to enforce House resolutions.
We invite members to sign the petition as external auditors (J.B Murdoch) review the IDUUK finances up to date. We are determined that the next leadership must begin on a healthy note. As we move on this year,
More emphasis on secure communication to deliver sensitive IDUUK documents for verified members through email newsletters and a members-only secure platform with login
Members are required to renew their membership for the year 2023 by completing membership forms and updating their private emails.
Monthly dues will be collected online from January 2023 until all IDUUK financial instruments are recovered.
Long live Ai-Idoma

Letter to House 3 (08/02/2023)
Ayinne!
All transition activities remain SUSPENDED. These activities will resume as soon as we achieve the House & constitutional mandate of recovery of ALL financial instruments currently in the hands of unelected actors. Further updates will be provided in due course @ https://oladam.davesdanlife.com/elections/.
We urge members to remain steadfast Read Less
IDUUK stands at a crossroads today. While all ‘EXCOS’ will be judged by how they fulfilled their individual assignments (Chairman, PRO, Secretary, etc.), members have an equal duty to be more forthcoming as the union belongs to all members. We should reflect on the journey from the ‘sinking ship’ last year and say ‘Never again’.
